Presence: Students must attend all the seminars in English language. No more than 2 absences without good reason are allowed. Absences through illness or with some other good reason should be certified, presenting the respective document at the Student Affairs Department, and entered in the student report.

Certification: A student’s semester is certified by the lecturer only if the student has attended all the seminars or has been absent without good reason from no more than 2 classes. In case of more than the 2 allowed absences, the lecturer does not certify the student’s semester. Students can have their semester certified officially by the Student Affairs Department, after presenting the respective document certifying the good reason for their absence.

Study materials: Students are obliged to bring in class a notebook and a textbook in English for Technology and Engineering Students.

Mark: Students are assigned marks in English language for the first, second and third semester of their study. At the end of the fourth semester (the second year) they sit an exam in two parts – written and spoken. Only students with marks higher than 2 for the three previous semesters are allowed to sit the final exam. The final mark in English language is the mark received at the exam.
